How to Kill Dreams

Dream killing is an easy feat. First, the dreams must be created according to societal expectations. Family members, friends, coworkers, and mass media will help dreamers recall these expectations in vivid detail.

The next step is to dream in shades of consumerism green. Internalize the concepts of lack and hustle culture. Avoid contentment at all costs.

At this point, dreams should begin to fade. Even if the dreams become reality, they will not suffice. The dreamers will always want more. Better yet, dreamers will need more. No achievement will be worthy of celebration. The next best thing will be so close, yet so far away.

Now, the dreamers can begin to sleepwalk through this life. When they finally wake up, their dreams will be forgotten.
